Update on trip to Utah. A lot has transpired since then. Went on a biz trip to Panama. Got Covid from my biz partner / best friend. Prior to leaving Panama tested negative. Got home, gave it to my wife then both of us became symtomatic. We both got vaxxed in March. Delayed Ut trip until we tested negative. Picked up the Z8 trail in St. George after a 6 hour drive. It was 117 at 4 pm🔥. Loaded it up in the toy hauler and headed up to 6500’ Pine Valley Rec Area. That was a treat. Breathtaking spot. Gods country. Rested, lollygagged, added goodies to the Z8 and performed the pizza box mod to the airbox (thanks glenlevit!) Moved on after 4 nights to Panguitch Lake. Rode a little break in time. Got familiar with the machine. Fished, more lollygagged with the Mrs and did some rock hounding in Blue Springs and BH Peak. Exceptional cool weather during an epic early SW heatwave. After 5 nights we moved on to South 40 RV Park in Marysvale. Wow. What an exceptional riding spot. Massive trail network of all types of terrain. Town is super ATV/UTV friendly. Machine ran great even at 10,000 feet up at the snowline. Cut trip short after 5 nights. My biz partner / best friend in Panama succumbed to Covid complications and passed away. Very sad. I had to rush back to Panama. Stayed a month. Got him properly sent off to the afterlife, reorganized our company, and came home to my wife. What a whirlwind. The machine is blocked and strapped into the bed of my 2017 RAM Tradesman Crewcab pickup. 6 ft bed, tailgate down with assist bars and 3/4” sheet of plywood to the gate edge. 9 foot foldable Black Spider alum ramps. 1” to spare. Drove it this way 30 miles on a mountain road so its tried and true. It didn’t budge. Backed it in. With rear tires against back of bed the bumper sits 5” from the rear window. Won’t be transporting it this way much but wanted to see if it was possible in my truck if I had to. Some BLM/USFS RV parks won’t let you drive your ATV out to adjoining trails.
