New fellow here. Was a Tech advisor on another site for several years and like to do my homework. I read a lot on this site before recently joining and thought I would share this with members here. I have a Uforce 800 and thought about trying a few different oil filters after reading some of the info available on this site. I purchased the K&N 152, the Hiflofiltro 152 and the Wix 10090. I could find no reference to the Wix filter here and they are the only filters I run on ALL my vehicles and toys as they are quality filters. All three oil filters are for use on the CanAm's but there are differences amongst them. Without writing a book here I will say that the Wix hands down is the closest in physical dimensions to the CFMoto factory one and the rubber seal on the open end provides a nice snug fit when inserted into the motor. The resistance can be felt for at least a half inch or better so no oil leakage under pressure. The overall length of the Wix is longer than either of the other two.
I also purchased the spin on oil filter adapter from MrRpm. As some had suggested and rightly so, the adapter might work best using the rubber seal from the open end of a CFMoto oil filter to make up for the slightly smaller tolerance. I did this but found the side to side movement of the seal in the adapter to be sloppy and IMHO questionable. Having already found the Wix rubber seal to be very good, I popped it off a filter and tried it on the end of the adapter. Very nice tight fit with no side to side movement. I installed the spin on adapter in the motor and it works very well. The adapter came with a Baldwin 1406 filter but they have no by pass valve as the CanAm motors they are intended for have a low oil shut down to protect the motor should the filter become clogged. Quality alternative Wix filters are the 57145 for regular oil or the 57145XP for synthetic oil should you wish to go down this road. You can also use Wix 51394 for regular oil or 51394XP for synthetic oil. These latter two spin on filters are just over 1/2" shorter than the previously mention filters (if space or access is an issue), but the filtering specs and internals remain the same. I hope this information is useful.
Wishing everyone and their families a wonderful Holiday Season.
