I am looking for the electrical schematic for a 2017 z800. I found one posted here for the 2015, but it shows the kill switch as having only four wires and mine has six and they are also different colors than listed on the 2015. I have a service manual, but strangely, it doesn't have a wiring schematic. I would appreciate any help.

I'm not sure they have included the switch lighting in the diagram. Also, I see in the non-run position both sets are open..and when I work mine, the switch light stays on...and both sets go in different directions like pump relay and ECU,sensors,injectors...ect.

I appreciate the info. I broke the switch and I want to just bypass it, but not sure what two pairs to connect because they dont match the colors on the diagram. Any ideas?

Oh..Bummer, it was the over ride switch.


Question: Why would want or need to bypass the kill switch?

No... Just a simple engine kill switch... I cant believe what a pain this is? I also cant believe they dont put a wiring diagram in the service manual. I just want to be able to get this thing to start, but I have no idea what wires go to what? they are all different colors and dont match any wire colors that I have read on the schematic from the 2015. I am jut going to order a new new switch and plug it in... I was hoping to just elimate it, but oh well!
