Need ideas

We have a 2019 800ex we bought it used (I know, just buying someone else's problem)
Road for about 100 miles over a long weekend.
Got home and washed it and now it won’t start.
It turns over, just isn’t getting fuel, but you can hear the fuel pump. We’ve checked all fuses. Battery is brand new. Starter solenoid is getting power. Any ideas?
Also, it idles high and will not move from whatever gear you’re in unless you turn it off, move the shifter, and restart.
We called the only dealer near us today and the service department would not pick up the phone, so I almost feel like we would be better backyard mechanics (my dad is a certified car mechanic, but has never worked on a sxs)

welcome to forum, first thing would be to get ahold of a service Manuel. As far as hearing the fuel pump, have you actually checked it is putting out fuel? Did it run before you washed it? if it ran before that ,possible of a connection getting wet and not making contact? As far as shift problem sounds like could be belt worn or in clutch. Again a lot easier to trouble shoot with service manual , Good luck, sure others will chime in to help.

High idle will keep the CVT engaged and keep pressure on the transmission, which is why shifting is a problem.  It also indicates a problem with metering which can be caused by any number of things.

Something is telling the ECU to run high at idle, and may be related to why it won't start. Faulty TPS? T-MAP?

I would recommend buying a OBD-2 cable adapter and the Car Scanner ODB2 app. You can use it to read codes and check sensor inputs to help point you in the right direction.
