Flag mount
« on: May 17, 2018, 07:29:31 PM »
I have been trying to find a flag mount for my '17 Zforce 800 for over a month now. I can't believe i'm having such a difficult time for something so easy as just to mount a flag.
I found one for $60 which was more than I wanted to spend but it doesn't tighten down enough and it's on an angle due to the plastic piece just under the bar in the front. I can't believe they didn't think about mounting a flag when they designed it. A lot of the places I want to ride require a flag. One of them it can be either in front or back but one (Silver Lake, MI) it has to be on the front. Anyone have any tips or places where they got one that will work? I'm about ready to pull my hair out!

I just used a piece of channel mounted to a Polaris plug-type loc-n-ride for the rear but if I needed to mount it on the front...well..I would have to consider mounting it to the center bumper tube with a bar/tube clamp. Its a little bigger then 1 5/8" but maybe something like this used with the flag mount would do the trick.

Well I bought one from a dealer that wouldn't tighten down but I managed to put some spacers in it to get it to tighten down. Working for now. I did order the ones you linked and they tighten down really well but with that plastic piece in the front makes mounting in the front difficult. Could possibly mount one side of the bar in the front above the tire but hopefully that other mount will work. I did do some riding over memorial day weekend where I needed a flag and it held up good.  The other mounds I bought (that you linked) I have some other uses for them I may put them to use still. But thanks for the link!

Is the threaded hole in the center of the bed for a flag?   or spare tire?

It's actually for a spare but its just a 10mm fixed receiver so you can use it for anything.

Let's see if this works to share some photos.

I used a air hose quick disconnect for my flag mount.

you can find various types and sizes of roll bar clamps (like KC lights) i have a set on the front to mount my light bar and a set on the back for flag (when needed) and back up light. i seen prices from 19.95 to over 100 dollars. you can find a good welder and weld a tab on
