Cforce 600 touring
« on: April 18, 2022, 12:57:17 PM »
Hi. 2 stupid questions regarding my recently purchased cforce 600 touring. 1st is, why don't I feel or hearing transmission shifting when I ride the cforce? Is that normal for the cforce? 2nd , (I guess 3rd), is there suppose to be some play in the steering vs a lot of play which on my cforce, there's about an .5 inch of play before front wheels react. Thank you for any advice u can relay.

Welcome. First, all CVT transmissions are that way. They are belts with two clutches reacting to power and load to adjust the ratios between the two as needed. Second, there should be very little play in the steering or bars before the power steering starts to react while moving. There may be some sitting still as some won't react until motion is sensed from the speed sensor. If it had that kind of play when in motion, I would take it in.

Here's a little video on how the CVT works:

Damn. Thank you for responding and learning me about cfmoto atvs. Dealership told me to take in my new atv and they'll look at it. Anyways, which skid plate do u recommend. The cfmoto or iron baltic?

Between the two..if it were mine...it would be the Iron Baltic hands down.

I run the BENZ Silent Rider on my Z. It like all CFM's, no one at the time made one specifically for it so I had to make an adapter. BENZ offered the highest dB reduction per reviews at the time. Whatever you go with, pick one for something with a larger CC displacement so there will be no restriction.
