Is there a good reason to leave that secondary cover in place? I took it off when changing the factory air filter and it seems good without it . Wayne thanks

With all the stuff being grabbed and slung off the tire..and just being kicked up, the chance of something smacking and breaking a big piece of plastic is pretty high. I think I would rather replace that cover then the entire air box.. probably a lot cheaper too. JMO.
