Aftermarket lower seat base
« on: January 01, 2019, 05:59:57 PM »
Hi there,

I've almost finished the custom rollcage for my Zforce 1000 and, with all calculation and simulation, the clearance from my head to the top of the cage came too small (1.5 inch)
I've invested a lot of time in the project and don't want to start over, so I found out that there are some aftermarket lower base seats (at least for Polaris). I'm thinking that such a part will provide me about an extra inch head clearance and save my day. Do you know where can I find a lower seat base?

Many thanks

Ebay but I'm not sure..I think the adjustable ones take-up a bit more room and the flat ones are like what we already have..well...maybe they are not as thick. That would be cool. Sorry to hear your cage is so close. There is a 5" back drop mod for the 800s that worked out pretty well for using the OE cage. I'm still considering it but need a better welder first.

Ebay was the first option but found nothing. After a quick google search I've discover Longhorn Fab Shop which offer lower seat base for Polaris but nothing for Zforce. I'll keep looking. Thanks for feedback

Problem solved. I removed the oem seat base and noticed that they put spacers between the base and the seat. Quite large ones (almost 1.5 inch). Removed them also and now I have 4.5-5 inches head clearance.
