2021 CForce 600 EPS not working
« on: February 23, 2024, 12:20:04 PM »
Hi.  I bought my ATV new in September 2021.  Since that time, the EPS hasn't worked.  I've had it looked at by the dealer about 3 times and they said their diagnostics don't show any error messages.
I found a YouTube video of a guy with a CForce 800 and after 1 1/2 hours of driving his new machine, his EPS quit.  He discovered the fuse was the issue.  He swapped out the existing fuse with a new one and it solved his problem.
I swapped out the EPS fuse on my ATV with the spare fuse that came with it and for a minute or so, the EPS worked great.  I tried it yesterday, and today, and the EPS is not working again.
Has anyone encountered this before, and do you know of a fix?
Thanks in advance!

Is it actually blowing the fuses? or are the fuses OK but the act of replacing it makes it work for a few seconds. If so, CFM has had some issues with the 20 and 30 amp fuse holders developing cold or bad crimp connection inside the holder itself. This breaks the power connection to the motor supply but does not cause the fuse to blow.

It’s not blowing the fuse.  I’ll try replacing the fuse holder to see if that solves the issue.
While I was checking things out, I saw another fuse holder connected to the other one I mentioned. It holds two red, square 50-Amp fuses.  I assume that is related to the EPS as a sensor?  One of the holders is missing a crimp connection.  I took pictures and showed it to my dealer service department.  They’re going to order another holder to replace that one.  Hopefully, replacing those two fuse holders will solve the problem.
Thanks for your input.  Really appreciate it!
