General Discussion / CF Moto dealer leaving the fold!

My dealer has decided to stop selling the CF Moto because the retail price has been raised up to almost the prices of the Yamaha models that he sells too and people are going that route instead!! 
CF Moto are going to shoot themselves in the foot if they try increasing prices before they actually get a real foothold in the marketplace!

General Discussion / CF Moto and Alachua Fl.

I was at the dealer in Alachua Fl. yesterday, right on south side of 441 just west of I-75. Nice dealership. Carries marine, Arctic Cat, another Chinese brand and CF Moto! Had a good selection of product on the floor (all 15's) don't know if he hasn't sold many units or just scooped up remaining stock from other dealers. Spoke to one kid there...didn't know if his arse was punched, bored, or clawed out by a Tom Cat!!! Then someone in another office came out and was very knowledgeable. He answered all the questions I had and even took the time to show me a few customer machines. If I lived here, I would certain buy my unit here! Anybody looking in North Central Florida I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use these folks! This just my personal opinion!

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Air cleaner find!

This is what I found while servicing my air cleaner today??
The end cap of the air filter was laying in the airbox on the bottom. The air filter on the bottom has a 2" hole that probably sucked up everything in the world for the last 300 miles!
Not impressed!

How To's (New Topics are to be Instructional Only) / Rear brush guard bolts snapped!

I was out yesterday and realized my brush guard was hanging down! The two upper bolts are chinese crap quality bolts and sheared off. The spacer between the guard and upper connection point is a POS!  Have an appointment on Thursday to have a couple of things looked at an adjusted. I certainly hope this is just a fluke and not a picture of future things that may happen?

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Lower A arms won't accept grease!

I have been trying, unsuccessfully to grease my lower A arms, both front and rear, to no avail. I pulled the zerk fittings out to make sure that it wasn't wonky and the grease goes through no problem. Put them back in and....nothing, won't work. I have an appointment with the dealer next Thursday.  I'm kinda wondering what they might do to fix the problem?
I'm going to have them look at adjusting the shift linkage too. If the vehicle is on any sort of angle it is very difficult to shift between R or L or P!
I will keep you posted.

ZForce 800 EX, 53 & Trail / Clearance

Have any of you guys added a lift kit to your Z yet? Was out yesterday for quite a tour and was doing just a crap load of scraping. Seems like I dont have near the clearance I'm used to. If anyone has put a lift kit on, would you share where you got it, part numbers, was it hard to install, was it costly?

Where Did You Ride This Weekend? / A Private 14,000 acre forest!

Yup ....thats where I rode. Had a buddy on a Polaris Sportsman 500 put me through my paces in a mainly ATV trail, tight turns, a lot of brush. Thank goodness there wasn't any trees down, but we did find a little mud. I'm pretty sure he was trying to lose me on some of the turns but I was right in his rearview the entire ride. He did say it looked pretty mean coming up behind him though!

I don't know if it is just me but whenever a new person looks at my Z 800 they think it is really neat, until they find out that they are assembled and come from China! What are your experiences? What are your responses back to them?

While cleaning up after a ride today, I noticed a screw on the gas pedal. It seems to be a governor of some sort. Looks to be set so that you don't have full thottle! Could that be what it is?  Any ideas?

What brand of oil and what viscosity are most of you folks running? I've got on just over 100 (s)miles so far so won't be needing it yet but good to be prepared!  I know alot of ATV's use 0-40 full synthetic.

Well heading out for my virgin ride today! Weather is to be good, cant go for a deep mud run but thats ok for this run.
I do have a question though? I did put it in to 4 wheel lock and the vehicle was very heavy to try and stear, is this normal? I had to put on my big boy pants to manhandle the wheel. I certainly hope it doesn't act like this in the middle of a mud hole!
