This is my provisional CVT Snorkeling Solution (Goal: Keep away dust and water from CVT intake - exhaust) Hoses that you see are rubber-steel reinforce so could not colapse because vacuum or external pressure.
Inside the upper Hose there is two Coleman filters for gasoline particles that work fine to keep dust out. I have not drilled yet the bed for an external filter, but will install a regular air motorcycle filter.
About the thermo heat wrapping I guess if not better instead of cover the exhaust pipe only, cover the muffler as well. My fan exhaust blows air just over the muffler away from sensors.
Please also note that my CVT Intake is the old "L" shape tubing that sucks a lot of dust from the wheel and under body . This piping was modified in newer models to preclude that. However I choose to place a hose in the intake pipe and have the air come away much cleaner. The exhaust (front) was removed and replaced by a reinforced hose with some PVC pipes.
Thanks for any input to improve
BsRgds
