Does anyone know exactly what this part is? And does it need to be snorkeled as well?

Its just an air blower that moves air across the rear exhaust pipe at the O2 sensor. The belt discharge does the same for the front cylinder. I have no idea why this needs to be done but I am pretty sure you stick that little fan under water or mud there will be an issue. Although you never hear anyone talk about it. I would figure something out though.

The funny thing is, the CForce 800 does NOT have this fan.

If anyone can give some more information on this fan I'd appreciate also as I've been debating weather or not to remove it completely ?

ACIDICJO, can you shoot a photo of just the fan blades itself? Would like to see what it looks like. I see it in the manual but a photo is always better.

I'm also curious about what the function of this fan is and if its necessary.  Is the main purpose of this fan to cool the head.pipe on the rear cylinder?  Where is CVT air outlet?

The CVT discharge dumps on the front header pipe just like the fan does on the rear pipe. I think it's an effort to move heat out from under the back of the unit and keep the heat about the same on both O2 sensors.

That makes sense , the only issue I now have is that having put a snorkel up from the exit on the cvt it's not cooling the front o2 sensor the same as the rear , I wander if this could cause the ecu to get the wrong readings now?

It's the temperature of the sensor tip that determines the voltage reading the ECU gets to know when to close the system. After that its O2/CO2 levels that make minute changes to the readings the ECU uses to determine injector pulse width.. so I can't imagine blowing some air over the surface of the pipe would have any real effect on that and..we don't blow air on the O2 sensors of our cars and trucks..however many times they are placed low on the exhaust and get airflow from the under side. Maybe the wire can get hot enough to melt...I just don't know. I really think it's an effort to move the hottest air out because of the way they both are positioned. It's a spinning action clockwise if you look down on them.

The other thing I remember seeing and reading about before getting mine was that there were some fire issues from heat buildup. As I recall it was mostly in their ATVs though.

It makes sense as you say on cars they are in the air flow on most vehicles but not all, well the front one is now getting very little flow and the rear is getting plenty , but still think I may remove the fan as will only get mashed up by stones and mud as mine has already, I have wrapped my exhaust with heat wrap so does not get that hot anymore

Have wrapped both exhausts after extending the front cvt exit up to a snorkel so think I will remove the fan that blows on the rear and see how it gets on with that , I have relocated the battery and air filter so there is plenty of free air movement around the engine now

Really. I assume you used the forward battery box for the battery but what did you do with the airbox? I and most everyone else have never been happy with where it is. I relocated the intake through the bed plastic and put a second Two-Stage UniFilter filter on it so it would get cool air and clean air to the box where there is yet another two-stage Twinair filter mostly because it's such a PITA to get to and clean. At least I am assured of clean, cool air to the engine but an airbox change is something we all have been thinking about.
