Sorry no I have not put my roof back on yet because im waiting on parts to paint my roll cage to match.  That above picture was chopped exactly like I chopped mine.  I talked to him to guide him though how I did it.  That is exactly how it will look with the roof on.
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

so its been a year,  how did this chop work out ?   ....and, is there really enough play in the bolts to drop the top section down with out cutting the front supports  ??

Here's a question: Has anyone that has done the cage mod on an 800 ever taken the actual ID of the tube? When I get around to doing mine I plan on using these Bung/Connectors rather then just straight welding them. But they have to insert into the tube then be welded so...one needs to know the tubing's ID. I think it will be much stronger..for me at least.

Hey NMK, I used the ones from super ATV , 1 3/4 the bolt pattern matched up with the bolt pattern of the z.
I’ve chopped several z cages.

OK, now that I finally bought a Mig/wire feed welder it's time to revisit this project for myself. :) It just wasn't going to happen with my old stick welder..
