Are you talking about the braces that go from the rear bumper to the cage?  Those are just bolted because they (and the rear bumper) are aluminum and cant be welded to steel (roll cage)

Nice work and thanks for posting the video.  Quick question - obviously you test fit the hard top back on after the chop.  Do you lose any rear visibility?

Yeah you lose some but i plan on cutting my roof to line up with the cage brace bar so it will end up not losing any when I am done

Thanks for the Vid Chuddly. I was thinking there needed to be some bend somewhere to let it drop but I guess not. And you just butt-welded the cuts?

Great job! is there a chance you could set the roof on and take a pic to get an idea
how it looks.

I sleaved all of the cuts and welded them in.  That gives more strength to the cage. 

I will try to set my roof on tonight to show you how it sits.  Im not going to bolt it down though because Im going to paint my cage to mach some other parts that are coming and i dont want to pull the roof off again when it shows up.

I just love how this thing has come from a wrecked salvage purchase to a highly modded (and not done yet !!) ready to race SxS. As has already been expressed numerous times, VERY nice job, Chud !! You can chop on my ride any day of the week. It's amazing what a simple chop can do to the look of this thing. It resembles a Maverick X3 from the front with its cage to body ratio closer together. Waiting to hear what you come up with next.
