Hey guy's just converted our winch to wireless, was super easy to do.
Bought a harbor freight wireless remote and hard wired it in.
Just remove the hood, pull the storage compartment out, locate the three wire connector for the wench relay, the wire colors are red,green black.
Cut the end off the wireless remote connector, splice into the bikes wiring, green is cable out, black is cable in, red is power.
The wires connect red to red, green to green, white from remote to black on machine, then black from remote to chassis ground... Works so much better, it's got a 1 second delay for some reason. But that's normal for it.

Yeah I do too. I was going to install a rocker switch beside the plug-in but..I like this idea way better.

And because this one too has a delay I though a rubber stopper would help..besides I have one on the Brute and it make it nice.

That's what I'm talking about, lol. I like the stopper, I believe it's a good idea to use one because of the delay..

Well the stopper came and it installed great. Very nice addition. Today the remote came...and what a cheap POS that is. I hope it works. It's not water proof..just slightly resistant.

Man I hate that, the one from harbour freight was actually pretty nice, looked to be a sealed unit... Gotta order me one of those stoppers.

Well..it's in and it does work pretty good...for now at least. Glad I have that bumper though. It's about a second after you take your finger off the button it stops.

Guessing that both will work correctly since it's spliced into the wiring harness?

Yes, I can use both.

Actually had one of the harbor freight  ones in my shop from a jeep I used to have.
Just wired it up, works great!

I got a Harbor Freight winch, a couple of weeks ago, with the wireless remote. I plan to mount it in the rear, so I can pull either way. I removed the sway bar and I'm making a winch mount to bolt in where the sway bar was.
