I bought a Super ATV universal power steering kit to try to fit it to my non power steering Z force 800 ex.  I will take some pictures tomorrow as I didn't have my phone with me when I was doing this.  I didn't like how the factory installed power steering was to the left of the wheel and kind of in the way.  On mine I clocked it so it's on the right and tucked up under the dash nice and tight.  I will say that to do this you will need some fab skills and a welder but it is not impossible.  It took me about 4-5 hours and that was with cleaning up when I finished.  It works great and is a good alternative to the factory power steering.

That's awesome chuddly, I'm a horrible welder. I managed to set my brush mower on fire yesterday trying to put some ugly welds on it. I am looking forward to seeing how you got it done.

Here are some pictures of it.  I mounted off of the factory power steering locations but was able to tuck it up quite a bit more.  It is very tight in some locations like where the steering shaft passed through the fire wall but it all clears.

Yeah, CFM take Note!

At $600, that is quite a bargain compared to the $1200 difference CF Moto charges for an EPS model. My closest CF Moto dealer just sold the z800 non-EPS model he had, the same one I test drove back in April, and I passed on it knowing full well I wanted the EPS model. Priced down to $9k, I could have added the SuperATV kit to it and come in at least 500 less than the EPS model.

I also know that unit is a solid one, as my FiL has been running it for over a year in his Pioneer 500.

I had the same unit in my Yamaha Rhino and I ran it for almost 2 years with no issues at all.  I'm super happy with how it came out.  If I just keep plugging away I will have my zforce exactly how I want it in short order

Which Super ATV universal kit did you get, I looked and they have a few.  The reason I'm asking is because I have ran across a dealer that still has 2015 800ex in stock for a great price.

Do you absolutely NEED it. No.  But it is very nice to have and will save you a ton of pain if you hook a tree or rock and it takes a lot of the abuse that you would normally get from a long day of riding.
