Theromoswitch replacement
« on: April 13, 2017, 07:26:10 PM »
Ok not the most illustrated, but not exactly the hardest job.

1. Remove the hood.
2. Take out the storage pan. 8 screws I think and one 10mm bolt.
3. Slide back rubber boot from thermoswitch.
4. Squeeze clip and pull off wiring harness.
5. Unscrew thermoswitch 🔄
6. Screw in new thermoswitch. 🔁
7. Replace wiring harness.
8. Slide rubber boot back into place.
9. Refill radiator.

That'll work :)  After all the issues with those switches you would think we would have a how-to on it's replacement a long time ago. Thanks GF

Obviously my typing skills haven't gotten better.  Lol. SLIDE, not Slid.
I know walking is waiting to bust my chops. Lol

I think we all just think it's such an easy fix that we forgot about putting it into "how to".
Troy's is coming in Friday and wanted to give him a heads up on the thing.

Your English teacher, still to this day, weeps for you. Fortunately, kids today with their texting skills are pretty much no better off.

Does the 2017 Z500 HO have the thermo switch failure issue also?

I'm sure it uses the same thermoswitch as the rest of the 17s but have not heard of any issues...yet.
