Seat riser brackets

The seat in my 2022 Zforce 800 Trail is way to low for me. This mod should (hopefully) work for any machine.

I bought some universal side mount seat brackets on Amazon. I had to buy two kits, they were $22.99 per kit when I purchased. Since Amazon inventory constantly changes, a person can just search for “ universal side mount seat brackets ”, they should show up.

They raised the seat 2.75 inches. They could be cut down for less rise. I will cut the front brackets to lower the front of the seat down, attempting to get the back of the seat slightly more vertical, as seen in the photo with the red marker.

I added 3/8" washers on the plastic mount plate to give more support, as seen in hardware photo. I used original bolts going into to seat bottom, adding two 3/8" washers stacked to replicate the thickness of the plastic mount plate.

I used to drive semi. The new seat height reminds me of driving a Freightliner Century Class tractor, sitting up high, feet flat on floor  ;D. I can see the hood of my Zforce!  WOOO HOOO!!!  8) The seat feels solid, sturdy. Install took about 30 minutes, start to finish, including adjustments.

I'm REALLY happy with this setup. This is very adjustable, even if some cutting is needed for lower height, unlike the 3" brackets sold by CFMoto Canada. The 2.75" rise is perfect, the 3" brackets would have been a little too much rise.

My 2023 Gen2 Trail 800 seems to have the seats sitting a bit low for me, and way too low for my SO.  I solved the problem by just picking up a couple of gel foam seats at Walmart for about $28/per.  Not only does it raise my seat height, but it also provides a lot more cushioning for those really bumpy rides that rattle my old bones. :-)

Yeah I got a couple of those egg-sitter gel cushions a while back. Didn't add much height but sure been a butt-saver.
