Use 5/16" pins or tap the plate the use a bolt with the head cut off and poke out about 1/2" or so. shape is not as important as the distance between centers. I cut a square into it to use my big ratchet but one could just weld a piece of pipe to the plate.

I like it. Made my own but I like yours better. Think I'll build one. 

The 1/2" opening should be. 005/.010 oversized to fit the ratchet.

Your's is nicer than the factory one.

They are going as cheap as they can. If I had to make these for others, they would be a bit expensive. Thought I would at least post it so others can get the dimensions or ideas of there own.

Dimensions should all be there. Might want to have him under cut the dowel holes so you can ream them for a press fit.

Also just found out a standard clutch fan spanner for a truck works great. You can pick one up at any auto parts store.
