Push pin removal tool
« on: August 22, 2015, 03:33:39 PM »
Save yourself the time and effort and get a push pin removal tool. They are not expensive and alot of the time you can reuse the pin. Always have some extra  8mm pins around though.

Some folks call them plastic rivets. They hold together dang near your entire machine.. fenders, air breather etc.

Harbor freight has the push-pin tool for like 10 bucks. There's a thread on them here somewhere.

If you order the pliers, order some 8mm push pins too. Look at what's on your machine first so you can match them. Some pins have a big head on them and they can be a bit harder to remove.

Ohhhhhhh gotcha! I use a special tool I made out of a narrow scraper. Just notched a v in it... that tool would work better though..  :)
