Got my harnesses installed this weekend and dad and I started fabbing up the door frames.  Boy you have to tear these things apart to get to some things!  Which brings me to a question, what are you guys using to pull out the plastic molding pins or are you?  I bought 80 extras before I ever started this project and before its over I'm sure to use them all as I just started cutting them off they were so hard to remove.  I bought a set of plastic car removal tools and they just flat sucked!  Maybe if I had a metal puller it would be a different story.

I use a set of these I got from Harbor Freight for 9 bucks. They still suck but not as bad as the rest. It still nips the heads off sometimes but I just pop then through with an small torx driver and take the body out afterwards.

They make push pin pliers. If you have to remove more than a few, they are worth buying.

I think if I bought this versus the crap plastic ones I would have been fine.  The pins are so tight the plastic just bends.

That's actually for those ribbed plastic retainers like they use in car door panels....like these: http://www.amazon.com/Front-Panel-Retainers-Replaces-10153057/dp/B0040CTYAQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1456846052&sr=8-2&keywords=door+panel+clips

I have one that I tried on my pushpins but it can't get under the pin to raise it.

I bought a few bags of these to replace the broken ones...good thing I did...lol:

That's the problem with the plastic tools I bought they are to thick to fit between the pin and the retainer base. I bought 80 of those exact ones after I clipped a tree on like my second ride and popped out a few from the front fender flare.  I will be buying more by the time I'm done with doors and then running some new wiring thru the frame for accessories.
