Oil in the airbox
« on: October 19, 2018, 07:33:00 AM »
Does anyone know what is the cause of oil being sucked into the airbox from the crankcase on a 2016 cforce 500? This unit has less than 700 miles on it. After a 90 mi ride all under 35 miles per hour with smooth trail conditions we found at least one quart of oil in the airbox.

This was a common problem with the first 500s. The dealer has ..or at least should have a fix outlined by CFM. There was a baffling issue with the crankcase vent line to the air box as I understand it.
