Keeping Rain Out
« on: March 06, 2016, 05:22:33 PM »
I 'm not a fabricator, so this was my first attempt at fabrication. I wanted something to keep the rain from running inside the cab off the roof on my Zforce past the top corners of the tilt in windshield . This is what I came up with. 1/8" ABS plastic cut then formed using a heat-gun.

Hey Bish...can you still open the windshield or does that piece have to come back out to do so? Humm. If it was somehow attached to the shield then maybe???

Yes mayor hal you can still open the title windshield (fully) without the two pieces I added touching it. The corner pieces I added follows the front edge angel of the roof.

I was at our camp the past two days and was able to test them out as we had some rain here. The corner pieces worked perfect keeping the rain out.

The ABS is 1/8 " which I got through Amazon.CA

NMK did some fenders flares using ABS from TAP Plastics
(http://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/cut_to_size_plastic/abs_sheets/524).
