Fuel pump pulsating

I have a 2013 CF Moto 800 and had to replace the stator, Voltage regulator, coil(melted) and ECU. Seems the stator fried or the regulator malfunctioned and she put a massive spike through the system and fried a bunch of components. I have all the new parts installed and when i turn on the key, the fuel pump continuously cuts in and out. She turns over and will not start. Any suggestions?

Fuel pump pulsing could mean its not holding pressure or there is intermittent power. First I would ensure the engine kill switch is in the RUN position. If OK then I would test the pressure to see if it in fact gets to the correct pressure and shuts off and if it bleeds down just to cuts on again. If so..unless there is a leak somewhere, the pump check had a problem. If it doesn't get to pressure before it cuts off I would have to look at the power supply starting with the fuel pump relay and the auxiliary relays. A toasted electrical system is hard to clean-up. It helps to have replaced the entire harness. Oh and check all the ground points too.

I have checked all the grounds and wiring harness. At the relay connection, i am getting a pulsing signal from the ECU. What woudl cause this apart from the ECU being defective?

What is the fuel pressure doing while this is going on?

Really nothing. Not building The pulsing signal to the relay is just that, The relay sounds like a flasher.
The vendor of the ECU I purchased seems to think it needs to be cloned to suit the bike. Is there a place to get them cloned that would not break the bank?

So you have done no actual pressure observations. It would be interesting to see if it does or does not reach the cut-off pressure of .33MPa which is 47.86PSI. And if just sitting there it drops about 2PSI in a split second and kicks the pump back on. This on and off can be fast enough to feel like a pulse. If this is observed it is likely there is a leaking check valve or..a really bad leaking injector.

The signal coming from the ECU is pulsating even with the pump disconnected. Seems the pump is working fine as i have put power directly to it and it runs fine.
With the fuel pump relay removed, the signal from the ECU is still pulsating.
In Addition I have no spark on her. Just wondering if the ECU is the main culprit here and I'm just chasing gremlins that do not exist...

If the ECU receives all the correct signals and is functioning properly, then it should energize the EFI system (fuel pump, injectors, O2 seonsors, coils,etc) properly. A pulsing signal would indicate either a faulty ECU, or one or more errant intermittent signals to the ECU, or perhaps faulty wiring (shorts?). Is the ECU/EFI light illuminated?  Bad ground? Low voltage? Voltages correct? Failing relay?

Do you have a PDA for this system? If not, it may be worth having the dealer hook one up for diagnostic purposes.
