Exhaust broke

Exhaust header broke again .It broke once under warrenty and was replaced ; cracked again! What I am wondering is to remove the bolts from the head and O2 sensor should the header be cold or warm It is a 2016 z 500

Shouldn't matter but I might be tempted to warm them first.
