I like that CF Moto uses an automotive style gas pedal instead of those half round solid metal pedals like the others use. But, I don't like how the pedal sticks out nearly horizontal instead of nearly vertical like a car. It caused me to have to hold my foot up too much and put my knee in a bad position where it would start to hurt in just a few minutes. I first covered the recess in the floor with plastic from an old bed liner to raise my foot up higher. That helped, but did not cure the problem. It also raised my knee higher and caused it to hit the gear shifter.

I decided I'd had enough of that. I took the plastic part of the pedal of and cut the metal part shorter so the plastic part could turn up more vertical, then I bent the spring back more to hold the pedal up more. Then I found it is more comfortable without the recess covered.

In these pics you can still see the plastic over the recess, that I later removed. You can also see the bolt I stuck in the spring on the back of the pedal to make it tighter.

Good idea. I too am having an issue with mine but for me it's the weak spring forcing me to hold my foot up all the time. Thinking a stouter spring would be what I need but was unsure how I was going to make it that way. Can you snap a few more pics on your bolt-idea? :)  I also like the cover and re-angling idea. That should make it more stable of tough trails.

I could take more pics. Basically, all I did was pry the spring away from the pedal and slide a bolt in between. I'm thinking of rebending the spring where it hooks around the back of the pedal and removing the bolt, so it looks better.

I had the same problem when I still had mine.  It was about like shin-splints after riding all day.

It's not that hard. All you need is a grinder with a cut off wheel. You might try a Dremel, but you'd probably need a few of those little cut off disks.

I just did this mod and used a 4" grinder. Much better. I was also able to take the arm return spring off and un-wound it about 15 degrees and re install it. Now it takes slightly more then the weight of my foot to depress the throttle. Much Much better! No more leg/foot fatigue from holding my foot up all the time.
