Full sided rocksliders to protect the plastic bed rails and underneath rocker panels / light weight, built of 1/4 " diamond plate aluminum sheet (tailgate protector from a truck) and 1 1/4 " dia. steel piping.
Started with a cardboard template / transferred the image to the diamond plate / several cutting wheels later had two sides cut out / finished edges with a grinder and then a hand file / tubing cut to length and tabs welded on at measured intervals to align with the factory slide holes underneath of the vehicle at the frame / attaching brackets cut, drilled and bent to attach piping to frame with bolts ( fully removeable for an extreme cleaning if needed) / checked fit and removed for finish painting / assembled aluminum to slider bars and attached at frame mounts / polished aluminum ( 1hr. per side) and a finished product !

That diamondplate ain't cheap !! I was looking at buying a 4x4 sheet size to make diamond plated tub guards for my ride and soon decided that I might put that mod off for a few months. Even HDPE isn't that affordable when you start talking about 3/16"-1/4" widths. Nice work on the custom sliders. That one gets the WT seal of approval for creativity and workmanship.
