I would like to do this improve , But I a little confuse for all the opinions , NMK could you please tell me if this improve is the best for maintain clean the filter , or there are another  new option.
My riding conditions is 90% dust but what happens if raining in the middle of mountains or desert .
Could you please tell me if the purple mushroom is the best for my conditions . Or a I need to buy another thing like the red cap ?
My secondary is in B2 and 24 g .
And I buy today a unifilter because I was with the stock one .
Thanks
First, get that Unifilter in the box. Then, get the end ported outside. Then..well for me after all the filters I tried on it, I ended up putting another Unifilter on the end and covered it with an Outerwear water resistant profiler so the rain will roll off when in the mountains.

NMK..... I too have done this mod. I used a spectra filter I purchased from AutoZone. I was wondering if you had noticed how loud the intake became after this mod. It sounds pretty throaty when under full throttle. I don't mind it but the wife does. I am now in the process of making a rear window with a vinyl lower curtain to block some of the sound.

Sense this I have changed things and now have a different pipe and filters but yeah, while I had this design I tried several different filters and some were louder then others. The pleated microfiber mostly and the mushroom with the single course foam material.   I did find that after I put my monster Unifilter in the box, I didn't hear that intake sound any more.. then added a read shield and another large Uni in the top..don't even think about it anymore.

I think there is a write-up on the new intake tube in the How Toos but lets see...

This is the 5X8"(10"s total) Unifilter in the box now:

This is of the new 2.5" tube with the 2.5" to 3" silicone 90 at the top:

And I think this is the only photo I have of the top 5X6" Uni on top. It has the Outerwears prefilter on it. I have sense installed a bracket on the box for the end to set on as it was tending to hang down in time because of it's weight:

And one showing the CVT intake air filter which is a dual-cone, 6", dry-type microfiber with another prefilter over it. This makes it easy to just wash with water or blow-out and slap it back on:

Both filter intakes are 3" so I can use either on..either and also the spare I carry in the trunk will go on either if necessary.

I would also like to add that...If I had it to do all over again, I think I would have leaned more toward having this stuff higher...like maybe on snorkels or some kind of box-system mounted higher...still with filters, just not trapped down low like they are as it gets pretty dusty and wet back there at times. And I picked and mounted my box so I could drop a 4-gal flat pac back there and now...I can't....but if I through the mushroom filter back on..which I can...I think I can get the pac in there even with the other filter there. Guess I should try.
