950 HO Low Gear Limiter
« on: November 28, 2022, 09:50:58 AM »
For you Zforce 950 HO owners who do not like the Low speed limiter which in my opinion and most others was a very dumb limiter to add , it ( really limits ) the machine on hill climbs and in mud holes , you have a very simple fix - way around it , For Free..

Let me clarify something 1st  , this mod isn't for people to be running Low Gear just cruising above 20 mph , you should be in High Gear for that if your running primarily above 20 mph , (this mod is to give you that extra speed you need to keep momentum up to make that hill climb , or to keep your momentum up in a mud hole like us None Ho 950 guys can..

Pull Pass seat , remove panel thats over Ecu , there is 2 plugs that plug into Ecu , the large one is the one your after , ( # 24 ) on that plug , picture will show it here in post , it will have a ( Yellow Wire/Blue Stripe ) running into it , un pin that wire from plug so it can easily just be slipped back in if you would ever want to re connect it for some weird reason in the future , you could cut it also and would be easier but me personally I'd pull it - disconnect it from the connector that way no hacking up anything but that's your choice..
That is just the wire that tells your Ecu you are in ( Low Gear ) , works the same as your Reverse limiter , the Gear position sensor , L , H , N , R and P just gives ( the ground ) when you shift to each Gear , so removing that wire , the Ecu simply don't know it's in Low Gear  , Yea its that simple.. Sets no codes or anything..

For guys that are worried about warranty , you can wait till after if you want , but unplugging a wire is less invasive then guys splicing into the harness adding lights and things. You can always plug it back In if you'd have to.
Hope this helps you guys.
