90 Degree Grease Fittings
« on: January 02, 2016, 08:16:27 AM »
Just wanted to post that I was able to replace the straight grease fittings on the rear knuckles with these 6mm 90s. I did have to punch around the OEs to release them and for the lowers I did have to take end off the 90 to turn it in. I set them both pointed back and slightly toward the wheel and used red loc-tite. Now I can grease these without taking the wheel off and without using that leaking/messy slide-on type connector.

There are also a few other places these will work and make greasing easier however the lower rear a-arms is not one as they will rotate enough to hit the frame...and least the 53" a-arms will.

I did the same thing and when I traded off my 600 for my Zforce800ex I requested the shop move them over for me, which they did.  The machanic laughed at me because all you need is a side port grease gun tip!  I got one and now I don't have any problem getting the bottom A arm fittings.

I have two side port tips and both won't seal on these metric zerks without having to back them up with something....and I had to remove the tire to get to the knuckle anyway so....not any more :)
