Morning all,

Had my machine trailer loaded with hand brake engaged over night. When it came time to unload I noticed the hand brake warning light remained on after releasing the brake. Did some slow rolls forward and reverse and there did not seem to be any brakes engaged at all. I ended up pulling every tire off and thoroughly cleaned away anything that might have been causing a false reading but the light remained on.

Any tips on what I could check to confirm what the issue is? Any and all info is appreciated.

On the Z800 the parking brake is a separate brake from the wheel brakes, it operates a single disk on the driveline. (a great feature in my mind, that they discarded on the newer 1000)
Switch on that might be stuck on.

Good to know. I had assumed it ultimately connected to the rear brake assembly. Sounds like even visually checking it is beyond my scope. I'm thinking a quick trip to the dealer is in order lol.  Thanks again, appreciate the reply
