zforce pre filter question
« on: May 10, 2021, 06:10:34 PM »
So, thank you all for suggesting the unifilter and outerwears pre filter.  However, today as I am taking apart the plastics for the 4 point harness install, I noticed a half-as# pre filter between the seats.  Should I discard this or keep it there?  It's a pain to get to to clean, and I have two uni-filter setups so I basically swap/inspect after every ride.  This is on a zforce 500 2021.

If you are still getting the engine air from that position I would leave it as it will at least screen-out the big stuff. Still get all that engine heat though...but the four push pins to remove the grill aren't that tough. Really should get it out from there though.

Yeah, I always end up messing them up and needing to replace them lol.  I will do that mod as soon as my warranty expires.  I don't want any flack if I need any warranty related engine work done.  The mod is legit though, and I will do the cvt breather tube and fan as well.
