Zforce 800ex on 29's
« on: April 17, 2017, 06:43:36 PM »
So this started with me just wanting to clock the secondary.  Well i got it apart then got a little excited and ordered gbc dirt commanders 29x9x14 front 29x11x14 rear.  Then i ordered 23g dr pulley sliders... then while waiting i ordered a rival front bumper.  Well the sliders finally came today so i got her back together enough to take her for a ride to make sure i didn't screw anything up.   Well  i will say,  even after going up 3 sizes and about 12lbs a tire after clocking to B2 and going with the 23 dr pulley sliders it has more pick up than it did before stock.  So I'm impressed.  I didn't do a speed run just went up to about 40 on my road.  The pick up at around 20 put me back in my seat nicely.  I didn't beat on it or get to go play yet but first impressions are good!

Good. You should be fine. The Dirt Commanders are a great choice. Even Dirt Trax loves them on a UTV. If I ever wear out these Reapers that's probably what I'll go to. I spun it around.

Agreed on the tire choice. Love my Dirt Commanders, just wish I could have gone with the 29s like you bought, but being limited to my stock 12" rims forced me to go with the 27s.

I'm hoping to sell the 27s and buy 29s next year, but it'll cost me a lotta coin - last time I priced out rims and tires, it came in at $950  :-[ That is a lot of $$ for an extra inch of ground clearance, and I feel like I can make better use of that amount on other mods like power steering and a full, flip-up windshield - both are more beneficial than 1" of GC.

Looking good Red!

As far as tires go I have learned one major thing in all the years of owning ATV's, SxS's and everything else.  BUY THE TIRES YOU WANT THE FIRST TIME.  I have tried to save a few dollars and buy something I was "OK with" and I end up hating them.  Then I still end up buying the tires I wanted originally and having a spare set of tires laying around and being out that much more money.
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

I am happy with the size. I wanted 28's but they don't sell them for the dirt commanders. I did a lot of research and was going to go with 27's but my heart was set on bigger. So 29's I went. With the clutching I am happy with them I was afraid of too much power loss but it feels great. I have a 2 inch suspension lift on it as it sits. I think I am going to drill new holes in the brackets and drop it to a 3/4-1 inch lift to keep my center of gravity lower.

I have a better idea !!! I'll trade you my 27s and throw in a couple hundred to even things up.  ;D

Nice.  GBC makes some decent tires.  Love my Grim Reapers.  Nicely priced, too, especially compared to the BigHorns.
