Zforce 800 Trail doesn't want to idle
« on: July 11, 2021, 07:17:52 PM »
Hey everyone I have a 2017 Zforce 800 Trail that will not idle when it's ran for like an hour or so. The top end of the motor has been completely rebuilt so only about 500 miles on the top end but since it's been rebuilt I've had this idling problem. It runs hard and strong at first and then after about an hour or so it just will not idle. As soon as you take your foot off the gas it will instantly die. Makes it difficult to back up and go forward etc. I wondered if anyone else has had this issue? I also thought maybe it's getting vapor locked?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check the valve lash. Then test the idle air control valve. If all is good test the fuel pressure and compression. What air filter are you using?
