So why did they change from a 5 point harness to a 3 point seatbelt?

Which one is safer?  opinions???

I would have to say that a 5 point is way safer than the 3 point.  The problem with the 5 point is that it takes too long to get belted in.  By the end of the day you won't be wearing any seat belt.  I have about 4 or 5 of expired belts left over from my drag racing days.  I decided not to install them because they are too much of a pain.  Flipper, text me your number, I lost my phone on Saturday night while out on the Z-Force.  I lost all my contacts.

I like the 4pt harness. Just not the one they put in my machine. Can't snich them down and adjusting them is an ordeal. I was eyeballing the camlock style if everyone has used them, how did you like them.

I don't know about you guys,  but my harnesses are a PITA to adjust! The belts don't seem to want to slide either way. Thank goodness you don't have to change them every time you climb in. I certainly hope that they free up somewhat as they break in!

I've got PRP 4 point 2 inch seatbelt style harnesses in mine. They were a bit of a pain to get installed, but they're awesome.  I removed the factory 3 point belts and mounted the inside lower mounts to the existing seat belt buckle bolt and kept the seatbelt buckles in my machine just for future resale/mods.

The U.S. models come with standard 3-point belts and the international ones have a 4-point harness.  You'll also notice the roll cage behind the seats has a dedicated mounting point for harnesses on the international versions.
