Wheel bearings..Front and rear.
« on: September 14, 2024, 12:29:35 PM »
I figure since imm doing my A arm bushings on the 2018 zforce trail 800
i might as well replace the wheel bearings.Plus i will take a look at the U joints
and carrier bearing.
I did look thru 99% of the forum posts looking for part #s for the wheel bearings but found very little i could use.
I'm sure that alot of you have replaced your wheel bearings.
If you would share the part #s for both front and rear that would sure help.Is thier a size difference in the bearings? Thank you very much    Bob

I was lucky on mine that I was able to grease them before they needed replacement..and even at 2K miles it wouldn't have been much longer before they would have had enough wear that it would have been necessary..even though I really don't like greasers and how they work it was better then paying the premium price for a Chinese bearing. They are 59.13ea these days which is up there with Temkin and Japanese bearings. The fronts are 9GQ0-050710 and the rears are 30499-03081...so they are different. I think I did a write-up on what greasers I used in the Info Center. If yours are still OK...it's the way to go. Still have to take it all apart and remove the axle but way cheaper.

Ive got close to 3;500 on it and figure ill be hatein life if things start going wrong a few hundred miles after i get it all back together.
I have looked online at bearings and i see what you mean about the cost.
All i got to do now is check out the u joints and the carrier bearing.
