To clean and service mine, I spray it down well with the FAB-1 cleaner, work it through well and let it sit a few minutes. Then to the sink where it gets a full rinse. I then blow it a little with the air hose and let it sit to dry naturally..sometimes in the sun. I would use a vacuum like glenlivet but there's so much dust in the air here in 15 minutes there would be a good amount already trapped in the filter. I then spray it down well inside and out with the oil, work it well all the way through. Then before it looses all it's transporter (the alcohol) I stick a few clean paper towels inside and give it a gentle roll-up to suck-up any excess. This ensures I don't get any atomization or cast-off that will coat the air temp/mass airflow sensor. I then let it dry completely before installing usually..but sometimes I go a head and install it but I don't start it until I know its completely dry..don't want any oil to move- off those cell walls. That's it.
