Im curious how you like it also.  I agree with you that towing a SxS you really need a V8.  They just weigh a lot and there is no replacement for displacement.  Sounds like you are on probation for a while with the warden/wife.....but you may be out for good behavior soon LOL.
Heck I have a 3/4 ton Dodge V10 and it feels the Z on it's back...and it really complains with a fully loaded 21 ft camper hooked to it in addition...enough that I am thinking there's a 6.4 Powerstroke or 6.6 DuraMax in my future.

Chuddly, can I get a small favor. When you get a chance, grab one of the Russian doors and drop it on a scale and let me know what it weighs. I'm needing to drop some weight and if Rodin's doors are a lot less them mine, I might move them up on the list a bit. I think my doors alone without the rest are like 23lbs each but I need to double check that.

Will do.  Ill get funny looks from my wife tonight carrying my door through the house to the bathroom to weigh it LOL....but I will get it for ya.
Thanks.

Just an FYI the doors weigh 12.2 lbs for each side (thats with the latch).  That does not count the frame which i would guess is about 10 lbs or so from memory.
Got it. Thanks. Ever sense the doors and the steel skids mine had been a bit of a pig in the sand..even with the clutch work. I need to shed some lbs I think. Funny how a few pounds effects things.

Parts are arriving at a fast pace here. Just before heading off to the beach with the family, I spent an evening adding some of the first ones to arrive:

Done:
AC front underhood waterproof box
Tusk shoulder bag (fits between the seats)
Plano 1719 storage box (fits nicely in bed)
AC Prowler black center caps (AC cheapened out $6 per rim and never added this to the Wildcat)
Fresh plugs, front diff fluid, rear transaxle fluid - gotta set a baseline, even if its no fun doing it
Spark plug access panel mod (cut out rectangle, insert vent for air flow from the motor)
DragonGunner master cylinder alum. guard
MLS steering rack stabilizer brace - 2014 Trails had issues with a weak brace holding steering rack. This brace fixes it.

Still to do:
Speedwerx throttle spring (replaces a weak throttle spring that causes your foot - and the SxS - to jerk on rocky rides)
Speedwerx secondary clutch spring - adds 60% more engine braking and helps even acceleration with larger tires
AC lower door inserts (missed out on an Ebay auction by $2 last week)  >:(
Bandit springs - replaces the crappy springs AC added to the quality Fox shocks

Not ordered but on the wish list yet this year:
EZRyde Midnight Edition muffler - solves the piss poor OEM muffler overheating and melting the firewall
PRP 4.2 harness belts, PRP harness bar - safety is a very overlooked item, but it should be #1 priority for anyone who rides

I would LOVE to get a full year out of the 12" rims and stock 25" Carlisle 4 ply tires, but it will be a real challenge making them last that long. That's the priciest upgrade on my list, with black M20 Kore 14" rims and either the Tusk Terrabite or ITP Blackwater Evo tires in a 30" size. I'd prefer to go 28" with a 2" lift, but surprisingly there are no good lift kits for the Wildcat Trail. You pretty much have to get as tall a tire as you can to get ground clearance, unless you are good friends with a metal fab guy, and they are very rare these days.

Back home from the beach just now, and ready for my first ride in this thing ! Buuuut, turns out my BiL and FiL (SxS is being stored in his garage for now) are on their way TO the beach tomorrow, so there goes my plans to ride it THIS weekend .. arghhh  :(

Dude, I am soooo thinking that myself !! I would do it tonight if it weren't for the fact that my FiL is packing for the beach, and he has a very nice floor jack that I need to get it in the air so that I can adjust the springs and gain some GC - its sagging down to 8" when it calls for 10" new. I was gonna have my BiL hep me do this, as I have never banged a spanner nut loose and adjusted the springs, but he too is packing to leave for the beach tomorrow, so it really is better off staying where it is, but its killing me that I can't get in that first ride for another week or so. I even forgot to add the Bandit springs to the to-do list - its a never ending upgrade cycle that I have just started, and its just like I would have bought a CF Moto and now need to deal with all of those questionable parts that come with it. To be honest, I could ride it just like it is and have a huge grin on my face, but I'm bound and determined to address as many of the annoying issues as I can before I get it on the trail.

But...if it was at your house now...you could take it out....as is..and get some satisfaction.  If it's locked up at their house..that isn't happening. Hay...maybe they will leave you a key! :)

With all the coin you are spending on it...may be a good idea to take the wife out for a little "Just you Two" time.

Well, the last piece of the upgrade was accomplished yesterday - the old reliable Kia Sorento V6 SUV made it 10 years with no issues other than poor MPG when towing. Problem is, over the past 6 months since I bought the SxS, its cost me around 2k in repairs - wiring harness chewed through by a squirrel, pinion gear in the rearend went bad, blender door and lastly a hole in exhaust pipe, which led to a rusting tranny pan. That was the last straw, so I traded it in for a 2012 Dodge Durango Hemi Citadel trim SUV.

I had been looking for an older vehicle - possibly a Chrysler Aspen or a Ram 1500, but when I saw the interior of this Durango, and saw all of the features that were added to it, I decided to spend the extra $ to upgrade to it. Auto-dimming hi beams, rain sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, remote start that turns on the heated seat AND heated steering wheel when outside temps are below 40° - yea, it's well optioned ! I am loving this thing. Was hoping to haul the SxS up to my Father in Laws today to install upgraded Bandit springs and an EZ Ryde Midnight Edition exhaust pipe, but he's feeling under the weather and I have other things to work on today.
