So I started looking at the Wildcat Trail in the past few weeks, just to see what the competition offered. I knew the Rzr900 was way out of my price range after my BiL spent $16,300 for his well optioned Rzr900. After seeing the leftover Cats selling for under 9k at a dealer in KY, I thought it offered a lot of performance for damn near half the cost of the decked out Rzr. I expected to be buying at the earliest in September, but was willing to wait until next April to buy a new or leftover. I didn't even rule out a used model, and went ahead and put in a really low offer on a 2014 Arctic Cat Trail with 1,023 miles on the clock, and enough extra accessories to make it worthwhile - AC Premium front and rear bumpers, winch, bimini top, half windshield, front A-arm guards.
So the auction was ending at 8pm today, and I sat there fully expecting to be outbid. I was fine with that ... I wasn't going to get in a bidding war and I honestly bid once and only once. So I fully expected to get outbid, hell I was kinda praying I would (
I haven't told the wife about this yet) and that last minute the adrenaline was pumping, until it ticked down to 0. I snagged this SxS for a very low $6,100 !!
Now, pay attention to the bolded part above. I still have my ATV - its not ready to sell, so I have to gently drop this bomb on my wife, quickly get my ATV ready for sale and sell it to start paying off the loan on the SxS. Keep in mind, if I can get 4k for the ATV, I will only be financing 2,100 for the SxS. Now that's a helluva deal and pretty much the reason why I decided to bid on it. I couldn't even get a CF Moto for that price !! Now .. back to that
bolded part ... IF I am still married at the end of this month, it will be as big a shock as me winning this auction. I am seriously going to be in the doghouse here.
