Washing my Zforce
« on: February 24, 2022, 09:14:50 AM »
This has probably been asked, but couldn't really see anything on the subject.
I see video's of guys spraying their machines, including the inside.

How do most people keep the Zforce inside clean with the airbox intake between the seats?
I know people are relocating the intake with a snorkel setup, but I'm not there yet !

Any ideas would help !

Thanks

If you will take the grill off..which you will need to to clean the prefilter bag..if they still use one..you will see there is no problem with water getting into the intake tube. You can pressure-wash the inside BUT you must stay well away from the dash switches as they are NOT water proof. You can stay 2+ feet away and quickly sweep across it but don't linger. No going under then dash with pressurized water as also no CFM electrical connection is 100% waterproof either...neither are the seats so go quickly there too. The rest just blast away. I use a 3200psi pressure washer with the wide-fan tip on most everything. It will peal stickers if not careful. That's all I usually use unless its really bad. In those cases I pre-rinse it with the washer, then with some hot water and some Turtle car wash & wax in a bucket, I go over it with a soft RV wash brush, then rinse it with the washer and dry it before it spots. A few times per year I finish-up with some Maxima SC-1 detailer. Helps keep the plastics and rubber in good shape and helps keep stuff from sticking too hard.

Thanks for that... I just bought it last Saturday, got it muddy on Monday with a 90km trail trip.
Since the snow has melted... mud city !
