Warranty and Modifications
« on: July 22, 2020, 08:30:11 AM »
Just picked up a new 2019 Zforce 1000 last night and it came with a 2 year full warranty, been reading a lot on this form and did some searching but don't see what I am wondering. Has anyone done any modification while still under warranty and had any issues with anything not being covered because they had modifications? Or do most guys wait till the warrarnty is out to mod?

Not looking to go crazy but would like to do the RZR 2" lift, already have the UNI filter on order and already swapped to 4 point harness 10 mins after getting it home. I just don't want to to do something like add the lift and have a motor issue and not have it covered because they want to be sticklers about it.

Thanks

Best ask the warranty provider but small things are usually OK where things that can effect important and expensive things like the engine and drive train...like lifts and larger tires and or heavier wheels probably will.. as well as things that effect electrical or performance of OE equipment like programmers and exhaust systems probably should stay away from as well. Rule of thumb-if it is possible that a modification can be traced-back to the cause of a failure, giving them a way out of a warranty, it probably shouldn't have been done.

This is honestly my first "new" purchase and first real warranty but thats kind of what I figured. As far as i understand its the warranty through CFmoto so I was more curious if anyone had any experience in this department. I have no plans (right now) to do any horsepower mods really just looking at the lift and some bolt on's for now.

Hello
just to maybe answer your question a little bit
there is a guy on you tube that has a site
redneck garage cf-moto
that has a bunch of videos on how to do most upgrade ( on the cheap lol)
but anyway the reason i am telling you this is all the upgrades you will see
he still has had the machine in the shop for repairs all under warranty the last time 3 weeks ago
his rear diff blew and he was out of warranty by a couple of months and they repaired it but he paid the labour
which is something i have never heard to paid for all the parts out of warranty
again like i said with ALL the mods he has done look it up may put your mind at easy
hope this helps
