EPI is starting work on building a quality clutch pullers for CF Moto and looking for some information from those that have bought one or have access to them that can answer a few questions.

Firstly there shows to be two..in that although both have the same part number, one had an "A" at the end. Wondering what the difference might be if any.

The next batch of info is specs for verification. The shaft size(s) and where it changes, the thread location and it's size and pitch, noise size & length. And the head size. All this will be metric.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. This is the kind of info we are looking for:

Can you please educate me on the use of the clutch puller?

I've looked on YT for a video but no luck. Anyway most times you will be changing bearing,springs,weights..ect you won't need to remove the "non-movable" part of the primary. Because a puller is required I can only assume it is made like a Kawasaki's clutch so my instructions will be from that experience. - It is fixed to the crank by way of a tapered or wedge section that gets it's force from the retainer bolt..not the nut. If there is a problem with the inner sheave or deflector plate or oil seal behind the clutch, it will have to come off so..to separate that section of the clutch from the crank requires force be applied against the crank with an outward pull on the clutch hub/spindle. The puller threads into a section of the clutch spindle and the noise of the puller goes into the crank. Tighten it applies that force to pull the primary free of that tapered section. Always remember to apply a slight bit of grease on the tip and the threads of the puller as without it the tapper can seize against the crank resulting in twisting the puller..even breaking it. Also always remember to clean the tapered section of the crank and clutch with something that leaves NO film like acetone and always torque the retainer bolt to the exact spec listed + not more then 5ftlbs. And grease that retainer bolts threads slightly as well. If I ever run across a video on one of these being used I'll post it in the How Tos.

This video is on a Kawasaki and has some basic similarities. Even he doesn't do it quite right and rule#1 always stand-NEVER buy a puller from an unknown source. They will be inferior. EPI will always be the benchmark for quality materials and constriction.

Never hit on a clutch puller with a hammer as you are affecting the crank bearings.
A good impact works best, only takes a few seconds.
Umatek is who builds these clutches now.

Shows to be for the CVTech snowmobile CVT. They don't show one for any ATV or UTV type. And it looks different from the OE but probably some of the same specs apply being for a CVTech:

I also have this puller as Arctic Cat also use some CVtech trailbloc clutches on their dirt and snow machines.

I sent an email to CFMOTO turns out the only difference between the 0JY0-050000-922-002 and the 0JY0-050000-922-002A is different manufacturers.
