Have a 500 Es slight leak on exhaust joint someone had put gum gum on the joint and a have cleaned it off but looking at the joint there ie quite a gap between the two sections should there be come sort of gasket at this joint.

Yes. Look at the parts list. It should be a donut shaped gasket and I believe those two are supposed to slide together much farther.

To much gap, the right clamp side should over the left round side of the exhaust
