Thinkng of a Cforce 800
« on: August 23, 2021, 09:11:22 PM »
I ride a 2004 Polaris 700 and the wife rides a Cforce 600. I'm thinking of selling the Polaris 700 and getting a Cforce 800
Just wondering if it's worth it over my polaris or her 600. We don't ride all out and don't care about top speed.
How does the 800 compare to the 600 cforce?
Any idea how the 800 would compare to a polaris 700?(it does have power steering)

I was debating about getting the 600. The dealership was taking forever to get stock so I ended up getting the 800 and I am very happy I did. There is a bunch of videos on YouTube that can help you with your decision.
I think one of the biggest difference would be the horsepower the 800 gives.
I never drove the 600 but when it cones to the 2 up the 800 can handle two grown adults effortlessly where I assume the 600 would be better for a 100lb adult or a child.

YouTube: real talk power sports and go through his videos. I found it helpful for myself

I own an 800XC and I've really been happy with it.  It rides rough, probably much rougher than a Polaris, but I also haven't tried adjusting the shocks.  I've seen posts about this making a difference.  It does have power steering.  I can't say that there is anything that I dislike about it, even the rough ride isn't that bad.  The only issue I have had is the "hot stall" issue, which has been resolved or is easily resolved.  I can't speak to the long term reliability since I don't even have 1,000 miles on it yet.  I can tell you that parts are more expensive (especially body parts) and harder to get and accessories are limited but becoming more available.  You will need to replace the stock skid plate in pretty short order, I haven't yet, but it is at the top of the list.  I also currently own a 2006 Polaris 450, which is still going pretty well but has had it's share of problems.  I've ridden the Polaris much harder than I ever plan to ride the CFMoto. I'm sure as you do your research you will see that most people suggest going through and making sure every bolt is torqued on the CFMoto, but I can tell you from experience you need to do the same thing with the Polaris.

Good luck in your research.

The CF600 we have now has been great. We have about 600 miles on it now and it's been flawless(so far)
I will not need to change the skid plates as im never in that rocky of terrain.
Honestly a 800 is way more than i need but what the heck it's a 800!
My Polaris rides decent enough and her 600 rides almost as good so i would think a heaver 800 would ride a little better?
I decided to sell my Polaris :'( and get the 800. Mater of fact the Polaris is sold tomorrow and the CFmoto dealer is about a hour away from where im delivering the Polaris to :)

That will be this weekend.
I can say the CF600 has WAY more instant getup and go over the older Polaris 700.
The 600 has a little stiffer ride than the 700.
The 700 had all new suspension bushings but old shocks. I suspect that the 600 would ride nearly the same after a while as it only has 500 or so miles on it now and the wife who rides it mostly avoids every little bump or hole she can, so the suspension is not getting flexed much at all.
The 700 when new had around 47HP(weight 740) Has 155PSI compression in both cylinders. Engine performance as expected.
The 600 has 40hp(weight 870)
The 600 will out accelerate the 700 easy. Top speed i dunno. I don't care to go that fast and i don't believe these type quads are designed for speed anyway.
When going slow the 600 feels like it needs to be in low gear sooner than the 700.

So far just moving the CF800 around the yard it is jerky when the clutch first engages but as the belt and clutches brake in i would think that would smooth out.
Really can't say anything more about yet.

Ok so got 20 miles on it now. Here is how i think it compares to the Cf600.
The 800 feels like it has a larger turn radius but i did not get a chance to test that for sure. It is for sure larger than the Polaris i had.
It rides like a 3/4T truck. I did try softening the suspension settings some and it helped a little. I assume with only 20 miles it needs more miles to break the suspension in.
I did not push it hard and never went over 40MPH but it will get there now! But i never went full throttle. As soon as im past 20 hours i'll see how fast from 0 to around 50mph at full throttle.
On fairly smooth dirt or pavement this thing rides and runs smoother than any quad i have ridden and i can't wait for the suspension to ware in and free up some.
Clutch engagement is smooth at a little off idle. The little i rode it so far it seems about perfect for me.
Heat from the engine/ exhaust does not seem hot on the right side like a lot of quads do. The 800 has heat from both sides when stopped. When moving i can't really remember feeling any heat.
Temp gauge stayed at 3 bars most of the time. It did hit 4 bars climbing a trail for about a mile at about 10mph and it was for sure making it work.
Thats about all i got for now. Any questions ill be sure and try to answer best i can.
