Does the tablet holder shake a lot when you're driving? I've been looking at those mount and I'm afraid it will either shakes too much when driving, will let the tablet go when the ride is bumpy or if the plastic will break during the winter and the cold weathers.

I only had a slight issue with my 1"RAM mount holder and balls with my 11.5" tablet with its protective case. It was heavy enough that I had to over-tighten the clamp to keep it from moving in extremely rough situations. The 1.5" ball mounts would have eliminated that. But on all the others, the 9.5,8 & 7" using all genuine RAM mount items I have had no issues. Now with that said when I have the wife and dog with me I have to mount my rather heavy "Hugerock" tablet on my 8" clamp mount over the steering wheel and that being so long tents to have some movement on the rubber balls...but not enough to be annoying. Just don't use any cheap Chinese copies of parts as they don't use real rubber..but plastic which will not hold still. Learned that lesson.

Just driving the machine on pavement the tablet does shake a little. I've seen vids of other peeps on trails with tablets in holders, they shake alot. The tablet holder circled in 1st photo would slowly drop, so I used a zip tie to keep it in place. The photo with the arrow pointing to zip tie was taken from the underside.

I agree with NMK about using genuine Ram mounts. I have a couple cheap holders that work ok in my van, but for off roading Ram mounts is the only brand to buy.
