Super atv portals
« on: July 15, 2024, 07:14:13 AM »
Hello all. I was looking for any input on portals for the u force 1000 if anyone had used them.  Or if anyone has thoughts on billet versus cast ? Almost $1,000 dollars difference in price.  I've been riding up in silverton co this week and got me thinking about extra ground clearance.  Thanks

How much more clearance are you looking for
Perfrex makes a 2” lift an a set of 30 or 32 with a lil clutch work will give you 3-4” more then stock
21 uforce 1000
SA doors
30” dirt commander 2.0 on itp deltas
Custom cab and box cover
Custom clutching

I ride this in Colorado allot so I need a much clearance as I can get.  Super atv tells me with the portals I can stay with stock wheels and stock clutch.

For some reason when people talk about portals, rock trails and high speed forest roads don't come to mind. I guess I need to read some more reviews on them.

That's a good point I hadn't really thought about that angle.  They take a ton of abuse in the mid west and south it seems in rock crawling and mud holes.  Not sure about the high speed forest road though.  I need to do a little more research as well. Thanks for the thought 👍🏻

I'd get a little bigger tire..maybe a slight lift kit..maybe some arched a-arms and some decent skid plates and get out there. If it can't get through with that...maybe it shouldn't be there....lol JMO :)

After a little more research I have to agree with you.  The portals seem like they would need far to much additional upgrading to be a solution. I was mislead by whoever I spoke to at the manufacturer.  Not surprising.  But during my search I found the z force 4 seater. This may be my solution as I need to seat 3. I'm going to hold off a bit though in hopes they introduce a H.O option as it seems a little underpowered.  Thank you for your input 👍🏻

I am also looking for a 4-seater but as it has to fit on my flatbed truck I am limited to three. The one I want...and the one that best fits my needs is the Yamaha Wolverine Rmax4 1000. However the price of a new one will keep me looking for a good used one.
