I have a 24" straight on the Z and a 26" curved on the front of my truck. Both set for about 30 yards out.. and honestly..the straight one looks to focus the light more in that same area then the curved. Now the curved looks to spread it out in a larger..or wider area but at that distance it just looks weaker then the straight one. Maybe closer-up the curved would be better but for my needs on the trail, I like the brightness of the straight one at that distance.
One other consideration is power usage. We only have about 13 extra amps on the stator when all the other lights and OE things are on. Running both those lights will take about 8 or 9 of those amps...and when you use the winch that pulls 20+ amps...well let's just say plowing snow can pull down a battery well faster then the system can put it back...so might be a good idea to put a volt meter on the dash somewhere so you know when to take a break and run it at 2500 for a while with everything off to charge it back up. Low power is known to kill ECMs. Just food for thought. Kinda the rule-of-thumb is: for every 30 seconds of winch usage it take 4 minutes of max stator output to recover. Even though plowing you might only use the winch for 10 seconds at a time..it does add up.
