When I put the Particle Separator on, forcing all that air through the combustion chamber, it needed an exhaust ( thats how i justified it in my mind anyway LOL )so I went with a 2 Brothers black series exhaust and an Attitude Power Controller as a kit. Put it all on and had my grand daughter do some driving while I adjusted the fuel levels at various positions from the passenger seat ( WOT was the most fun ). I could actually feel the difference when adjusting the controller. So in my humble opinion, I think the controllers wake up these motors somewhat with the right combination of equipment.

Buzzard you're scaring me. This is the first time I've heard of an exhaust and a tune for the S&B. Did you need to do that or just looking for more power?

He's kidding...lol. As I understand it, the blower is intended to pull air through the intake ports at a rate high enough to cause a vortex which spins the air throwing the particles outwards from the center where they are discharged out the back. The loads...or engine and if hooked-up, CVT pulls air from that center source behind the vortex area. There isn't any increase in static air pressure there..at least not enough to measure. I suppose if you put your hand over it you might feel some flow.

Actually NMK, with the particle separator on I have measured almost a .10 psi positive pressure at the air filter box drain outlet. I was kidding about it being anything significant BUT... it is positive pressure. With the separator on and putting your hands over the exhaust ports of it, the pressure spins up noticeably. I was about at, not quite an inch of vacuum before the separator addition and now it is at a positive pressure however insignificant.

That's amazing...I would have never guessed. Actually...that's great. I think a little positive pressure on the air box (and the CVT) would be a good thing. I remember before I changed-out the box's intake pipe for the 2.5" I also read almost an inch of vacuum on the box at WOT, and none after.
