Smelling gas

 I know there is a thread on here about the black ring on the gas tank being loose which I discovered on mine but it seems like once I tried to tighten it it doesn't want to Stay tight any advice

Be carful as you can over tighten it and strip the threads. Once that happens it's new tank-time. I believe it has an O-ring under it so it really doesn't have to be that tight to seal. On mine I found the vent check bad and pushing fuel up the vent tube into the frame. I just did a How To on putting an inline check valve in.

It was definitely lose there was fuel on the top of the tank
