 I managed to shred one of my HDPE pans (the rear one) the other day out riding.
Zip ties keeping it on at the moment.

I really wasn't riding hard, but something flipped up and snagged it and tore it up.
I was cruising mountain roads and bombing puddles, not mudbogging or scrambling over rocks.

I know rival and iron baltic make one but the $600 to $700 price tag gives me pause.
yes I know -  way cheaper than a new machine or differential housing.

I noticed there are some products offered on amazon in the $300 range.

anyone have any experience with those?

I’ve torn mine in a few places I just bought puckboard hard to break from my local plastic shop and cut new pcs to fit

Unless your going metal a cheap patch is all ya need it will happen again imo

Happening again is exactly WHY I am going metal.
I roll out in places it could take me a day or two to walk back in from - unless I encountered someone with passenger room.
I carry food water fuel and a simple bedroll.

I lucked out and nothing got shoved anywhere it shouldn't be going but I've had debris come through the floor board as well as ramming through between the body plastic and floorboard i which amazingly snapped the push pins without cracking the body plastics.

So . . I think metal might be a wise choice.
